How do I care for my Flowers?
Your flowers have been carefully grown, picked, hand arranged and protected at every stage to ensure they arrive with you in peak condition. Some of your flowers may arrive in bud but these will open giving you maximum vase life.
If you follow our simple care instructions your flowers should last for at least 7 days.
• On arrival remove flowers from all packaging and using a sharp knife or scissors cut 2- 3 cm off each stem
• Remove any leaves that would be below the waterline of the vase as these will start to decay causing bacteria to build up in the vase
• Place flowers in a clean vase, filled with fresh water and flower food, following the instructions on the sachet. Keep the water level topped up regularly
• Avoid placing your display near ripening fruit, direct heat, in direct sunlight or in a draught
• Re-cutting the stems every 3 to 4 days may make your flowers last longer
• If your roses droop try re-cutting the stems and standing them in warm water
• If your flowers arrive by post they may appear soft due to the fact that they have been without water for a few days. Once placed in water the stems and buds will firm up as they re-hydrat
Gerbera
The gerbera flower is mostly used in arrangements of cut flowers because of its size and the wide variety of colors that are available. It is one of the showiest bouquet flowers available.They come in all types of colors, including yellows and oranges, pinks, reds, scarlet and even more. These flowers also like to have filtered water instead of tap water whenever possible. That’s because the minerals in tap water can cause the flowers to have a short lifespan. Water your cut flowers every two days (with added preservative) and snip of the bottom of the stems at an angle as well.
Roses
When you think of a rose, the first color that might come to mind is red. In fact, the word “rose” comes from the Latin word “rosa”, which means red. Red roses might be the most common color, but there are so many others that there is an entire language of meaning that can be found in their shades.
No matter what you want to say with your flowers, a bouquet of roses can convey your feelings. Try giving a bunch of different colors to show exactly what you want to say, and you can even give the recipient a copy of the flowers' meanings so that they too can read the language of flowers. No matter how many roses you choose to give, they are sure to be a welcome gift!

All products on this website are available for nationwide delivery to the whole of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). We can arrange flowers to be delivered to Southern Ireland (Eire) though a surcharge will apply for this. UK Delivery is completed (next day or future date as required) by courier or delivered by our network of locally appointed florists on a before 6pm service Monday - Saturday only (some rural areas excluded). Our delivery service is available on Sundays and Bank Holidays in the Edinburgh area only. For Edinburgh Central area please e-mail us for further information.
Orders for delivery on the next working day need to be placed by 3.00pm the day before, (Same Day Delivery order before 2pm). Orders made for delivery on Monday need to be placed by 3.00pm the preceding Saturday.
Please Note, we can deliver flowers anywhere in the UK on same day delivery (except Sundays), however chocolates and hampers can only be delivered same day within the following postcode range: EH1-EH46
