The Oxalis Plant it's biological name, comes from the Oxalidaceae family with 570 species and has several names depending on the species but can include Brazilian Butterfly, Purpleleaf False Shamrock, Pink Shamrock, Yellow Sorrel, Pink Sorrel and Wood Sorrel. It should be kept in a sheltered area with partial sunlight and the plant should be watered atleast once a week, keep the soil moist but well drained as it won't like being water logged or too dry. It can be kept indoors or outdoors but must be protected from cold elements or temperatures bellow 15°C. It is native to South America & South Africa, it is a toxic plant that flowers in warmer months.
