The Paddle Plant is lovely green succulent with red tinged edges, it has large round, flat but fleshy leaves and is native to South Africa. Keep the plant in a position that is sheltered but with sunlight, remember to turn frequently and avoid the leaves being sun burnt. The soil must be well drained and kept preferably on the dryer side, water weekly or allow top two inches to dry before watering again.The Paddle Plant its most common name is also known as Flapjack Plant, Desert Cabbage and its biological name is Kalanchoe Thyrsiflora. It is from the Crassulaceae Family and prefers temperatures 10°C and warmer, protect it from the cold.
